Have you received an email from Amazon Handmade offering you a dedicated account manager? I’ve started to have a lot of questions about this in my Facebook Group so thought it was time to make sure you knew all the details about them.
Are these emails legit?
Yes, they are from Amazon (assuming the from email field is an @amazon.com email address) offering you free support to help you grow your handmade business.
What will an Amazon Handmade account manager do for me?
An Amazon Handmade account manager can help with the following:
- Onboarding onto the platform
- Answering any questions you have about selling on Amazon Handmade
To be honest, if you are not new to the platform you likely don't need an account manager. Remember, their role as an Amazon employee is to help Amazon make more money and that usually results in helping you to run paid advertising campaigns.

Keep in mind, that account managers aren't necessarily skilled with SEO, keywords, strategy, or overall business growth.
What if I don’t want an account manager?
If you are not interested in having an account manager, you can simply reply to the email and say that you are not interested. You will likely get a response back saying that they will take you off the list of people being contacted.
You can also choose to ignore the email.
If you are new to Amazon and would like to have some support getting started, it could be helpful to ask them any specific questions and get a handle of Amazon Seller Central.
Once you feel comfortable, you can let them know that you no longer need their assistance.
